Help Center

Everything to get you running in 5 minutes โ€” renting a GPU, or earning from one. Stuck anywhere? support@gridshare.in or the ๐Ÿ›Ÿ Get help button on any running instance.

Rent a GPU BUYERS

From zero to a running GPU notebook:

  1. Create your account.

Sign up at gridshare.in/marketplace with your email and verify it (we send a one-time code). No credit card needed.

  2. Top up your wallet with UPI.

Add money from โ‚น100 via UPI/Razorpay โ€” no forex card, no USD. Every top-up gets a proper GST tax invoice (in your company's name if you set a GSTIN โ€” useful for expensing).

  3. Pick a GPU.

The marketplace shows live machines with the exact โ‚น/hr rate, VRAM, and a measured compute score. Filter by VRAM or price. What you see is what you pay โ€” one honest rate, no hidden tiers.

  4. Launch a template.

One click: PyTorch + JupyterLab, Stable Diffusion, Ollama/LLM chat, Whisper, VS Code, and 20+ more. The instance boots and shows Open (browser) and SSH buttons when ready โ€” first launch on a node can take a few minutes while the image downloads.

  5. Work.

Everything under /workspace is yours and auto-saved (~every 30 seconds, up to 2 GB). Billing is per second โ€” the dashboard shows the live meter.

  6. Stop when done.

Hit Stop โ€” billing stops that second. Your files in /workspace are saved and kept free for 30 days, so pressing โ–ถ Resume later puts them back. Balance running low? We warn you by email, and the instance auto-stops before you can go negative.

If a machine dies mid-run: your work doesn't. GridShare auto-saves your workspace and relocates it to another GPU (never a pricier one without your OK), refunds any un-served time, and your open tab follows the move. This is the core of the product โ€” read how it works.

Earn from your GPU PROVIDERS

Sign up, copy your one-line command, paste it. Your machine only serves work when it's idle โ€” the moment you touch the keyboard, rented jobs pause.

Sign up or sign in โ†’ and your dashboard shows a personalised command for your OS. It carries a single-use setup token, so the machine registers to your account and the terminal asks you nothing.

๐ŸŸข Linux โ€” NVIDIA

Ubuntu/Debian, driver 520+. Docker and the NVIDIA toolkit are installed automatically.

๐Ÿ”ด Linux โ€” AMD (ROCm)

RX 6000/7000 series. ROCm set up by the installer.

๐ŸชŸ Windows โ€” NVIDIA

Windows 10/11 with WSL2 โ€” the portal also offers a double-click installer. The script handles WSL setup.

๐ŸŽ macOS โ€” Apple Silicon

Any M-series Mac. Native agent โ€” no Docker needed.

  1. Sign up on the portal first (email + password) โ€” it gives you a ready-made install command with your key baked in, so the terminal asks you nothing. This is the only supported path: a generic command has no way to know whose account to pay.
  2. Your node appears in your provider dashboard within a minute, priced automatically by GPU model (you always earn 70% of what buyers pay).
  3. Get paid to your bank account.

Add and verify your bank details in the dashboard (never in the terminal). Choose daily payouts (โ‚น10 flat fee, from โ‚น150), weekly (โ‚น5, from โ‚น300) or monthly (free, from โ‚น500) โ€” sent by IMPS/NEFT to any Indian bank. UPI payouts are coming soon.

Your machine stays yours. Jobs pause instantly when you use the PC and resume when it's idle. Thermal limits auto-pause under heat. Buyer workloads run in an isolated container (or macOS sandbox) with no access to your files, and a 24ร—7 monitor blocks mining/abuse.

Billing & money

How exactly am I billed?

Per second, only while your instance is running. On GridShare app templates the meter waits until your app is actually ready โ€” you don't pay for the boot wait (up to a 15-minute window). Stopping ends billing immediately. Your saved /workspace is kept free for 30 days after you Stop (Resume or โ–ถ Resume restarts the clock; deleted after 30 days if untouched). Every payment gets a GST invoice.

What is saved when I stop an instance?

The files under /workspace (checkpoint cap 2 GB). They are autosaved every ~30 seconds while running and again when you press Stop, restored when you Resume on any available GPU, and kept free for 30 days after you Stop. Not included, by design: anything outside /workspace (for example software installed into the home directory over SSH), Python environments (venv, site-packages) and model files (.safetensors, .ckpt, .pt, .bin, .gguf) โ€” re-install or re-download those after resuming. On SSH instances you start in /workspace.

What if a node fails while I'm being billed?

Billing halts the moment a node is unreachable. Any seconds you paid for but didn't get are refunded automatically when the workload relocates. You never pay for dead time.

Refunds?

Un-served time (a node dying mid-run) is refunded automatically. Your unused wallet balance โ€” funds you loaded but haven't spent โ€” is refundable to your original payment method (less the ~2% gateway fee) or usable as wallet credit with no fee; delivered compute and bonus credits are non-refundable. Details in the refund policy, or write to support@gridshare.in.

Do my trained model files survive a migration?

Your code, data and outputs in /workspace survive โ€” auto-saved every ~30 s, up to 2 GB in total. What is skipped, whatever the file size: anything inside a folder named venv, .venv, site-packages, node_modules, models, .cache, .git, wandb, .ollama or __pycache__. So keep downloaded weights in /workspace/models/ โ€” they re-download on the new machine and never eat your 2 GB. A small fine-tuned adapter or training checkpoint saved anywhere else under /workspace does come with you; download anything critical before you stop.

Provider: when do I get paid, and what's TDS?

Payouts go to your verified bank account (IMPS/NEFT) on your chosen schedule once your balance crosses the minimum โ€” โ‚น150 on the daily plan, โ‚น300 weekly, โ‚น500 monthly. Below the minimum, earnings simply roll over; nothing is lost. UPI payouts are coming soon. Add your PAN in the dashboard โ€” payouts without a PAN attract higher TDS as required by law.

Is my data private on a stranger's GPU?

Workloads run isolated (container/sandbox) with no access to the host's files โ€” and the host has no access to yours inside the container. Workspace auto-saves are stored encrypted at rest in our object storage (Singapore region โ€” disclosed in the privacy policy). For confidential-compute needs, talk to us about enterprise options.
